Rolling Turtle & The Old School String Band

Paul "Rolling Turtle" Cavitt has been playing mandolin for 25 years, has recorded five albums as a solo artist, and the newest CD features the entire band. Turtle has played live venues throughout the United States, he holds a Masters degree in History, and his musical performance is consistent with his academic discipline.

Rolling Turtle is a “preservationist”, not a songwriter, whose passion is preserving multiple folk traditions encompassing a variety of American musical genres, including Old-Time Appalachian and other traditional Americana, as well as Celtic and traditional Gospel Hymns.

Rolling Turtle is currently booking acoustic non-amplified solo performances anywhere west of the Mississippi, and now booking shows for the full band for the 2016 touring season and beyond.

Pricing for solo performances in small to medium venues:

 • One hour Senior Residence Shows, $100
 • Other venues up to 1 Hour front sets, $100 plus a tip jar  (when appropriate).
 • Two 50 minute sets, $125 plus tip jar  (when appropriate).
 • Large venues are negotiable, depending on size and nature of the event.
 • Church Services, free will offering.
